Solar Activity Cycles: Sunspot Groups, Statistics: Sunspot Groups

Scientific paper

Using the data for 1910 - 1963 it is shown that the standard deviation
of the relative (with respect to the total annual sunspot groups number)
number of sunspot groups in the 40° intervals of the heliographic
longitude has an 11-year cycle, which is in antiphase with the
corresponding cyclic run of the mean yearly Wolf numbers.
