Discovery of many Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) with high redshifts has open the possibility of testing cosmological models using GRBs as standard candles or correlations between a distant independent variable and a distant dependent variable. It has been suggested (Frail et al. 2001) that after the beaming correction the total radiative energy output of GRBs may have a smaller dispersion. It has also been suggested that the correlation between total energy and peak energy of prompt emission (predicted by Lloyd et al. 2000) has a small dispersion (Amati et al. 2002, Ghirlanda et al. 2004), which has lead various attempts to exploit it for constraining cosmological density parameters. We have reconsidered these aspects using the latest data. We will report on the results of these investigations. The main conclusion is that new observations are not fully consistent with the earlier ones and that care is required using these properties of GRBs for global cosmological studies. On the other hand,
as more data become available we can begin to investigate the cosmological evolution of GRBs and other related phenomena such as star and galaxy formations.
