An attempt is made to obtain the position angle and galactic plane inclination (to the plane of the sky) of M33, in view of a suspected connection between the 197 associations examined and the other spiral tracers. Of the ostensible system of seven logarithmic spirals, two principal arms have been reinterpreted through the invocation of density wave theory; the remaining arm features of M33 may be explained with the stochastic self-propagating model. The distribution of surface brightness segments implies the existence of different mechanisms of star formation in M33.
