The polarization vector of photon radiation under the influence of a gravitational lens is studied theoretically and shown to be unaffected by the lens field. The alignment of polarization vectors is also examined for the case of spherical and nonspherical lenses, and attention is given to the asymmetrical case of a rotating lens. A gravitational lens cannot cause the polarization vectors of the photons to align nor rotation of the plane of polarization to a degree that would be significant for the observer.
