Scientific paper

Cross-spectral studies were carried out on annual mean geomagnetic quiet day variations and sunspot number, revealing significant solar cycle modulation for all four harmonic amplitudes, the phase of the first harmonic, and also for the diurnal ranges in H, D, and Z, with high coherence. Small phase lags were observed. Wolf ratios were computed and regression lines were fitted between each of the geomagnetic parameters and sunspot numbers.
