The three-dimensional case of the influence of the solar tidal moment on the resonance rotation of Venus is analyzed, with the gravitational moments of the sun and the earth taken into account. The action of the tidal moment is found to cause the following evolution of the rotational motion of Venus near resonance: (1) relatively rapid capture into the resonance motion region, and (2) the slow 'overturning' of Venus from the cosmogonically original retrograde rotation into direct rotation. The overturning process occurs so slowly that the inclination of the Venus equator to the plane of its orbit remains small.
