Investigation of the light element abundances on the Sun is a complex experimental and theoretical problem. The major difficulty is the experimental determination of the parameters for very weak and blended lines in the spectra of different solar formations. The authors discuss the enhancement of light isotope abundances in active regions and in flares on the basis of literature data and the observations. A brief review of some theoretical models which explain this enhancement is presented. The authors suggest a new mechanism for the enrichment of solar flares with the 3He isotope. The so-called high-temperature turbulent current sheets which arise and exist in the solar atmosphere in the regions of interactions and reconnection of magnetic fluxes.
