The Ar-40/Ar-36 ratio in several graphite-diamond-kamacite inclusions from the Haveroe ureilite is determined by mass-spectroscopic analysis of the noble gases released in each temperature step during stepwise heating of the samples. The abundance ratio is found to have an upper limit of approximately 0.0014, as compared with the estimated primordial abundance ratio of 0.0002. Possible origins for the Ar-40 are considered on the basis of this result.
