Oxygen abundances in H II regions of the Galaxy were derived with the classical Te-method within the framework of the two-zone H II region model using published spectro-photometric data (69 spectra of 11 H II regions in the range of galactocentric distances from 6.6 to 14.8 kpc). The derived radial distribution of the oxygen abundance was compared with that from Shaver et al. (1983), which is widely used in constructing the model of the chemical evolution of the Galaxy. It was found that the oxygen abundances given by Shaver et al. are overestimated by 0.2-0.3 dex.
