The analysis of the available times of primary minimum light on the Algol binary system Y Leonis revealed a complex behaviour of its O-C curve that results from the superposition of a secular trend, a multiperiodic component consisting in four periodicities [85.2 yr (with four periodic terms), 8.606 yr, 7.781 yr, and 6.375 yr] having incommensurable frequencies, and a low level stochastic variability displaying a positive serial correlation. The mechanism causing the longest periodicity seems to be rather the cyclic magnetic activity of the secondary component, than the light-time effect due to the presence of an unseen companion.
