Galaxy Clusters

Scientific paper

The authors study the Local Group of Galaxies approximating it as a
binary galaxy (Milky Way and Andromeda Nebula). They find that inside
100 kpc from the Milky-Way centre the influence of the Andromeda Nebula
is very weak and that for the satellites of the Milky Way, even for the
outer ones, perigalactic distances of about 30-40 kpc are likely.
