Assuming that Iwasawa's $\mu_{K/k}$-invariant vanishes, we prove the 'main
conjecture' of equivariant Iwasawa theory, at odd prime numbers $l$, for
arbitrary extensions $K/k$ of totally real number fields, up to its uniqueness
assertion.
