The strength of the magnetic field on the Hg-Mn star Alpha And was measured on six dates in 1982-1983 with a photoelectric magnetometer and Fabry-Perot etalon on the 6-m telescope, using the lambda 4558 Cr II and lambda 4481 Mg II lines. These data, together with five measurements by Borra and Landstreet with an H-beta polarimeter, yield an rms field strength of 33 + or - 19 gauss, further lowering the value of any possible magnetic field on Alpha And.
