The degree of irregularity in the apparent galaxy distribution arising in the Palomar Sky Atlas print-to-print transition was estimated. This irregularity is caused by the variability of observing conditions. Counts of galaxies within the separate Palomar Atlas prints were carried out on the basis of data taken from the Morphological Catalogue of Galaxies by Vorontsov-Vel'yaminov et al.
