The approximately 475 stars in the 18-22 magnitude interval for which B and V magnitude measurements are given occupy an area of about 35 sq arcmin that is located about 8 arcmin north of M92's center. Measuring errors, determined on the basis of deviations from the mean values, are listed for each star in order to test whether the observed main sequence width is due to measuring errors alone, and the resulting error distribution is used to predict the observed width of the main sequence. Comparison with observations shows that the intrinsic width could be zero, with an upper limit of 0.02 mag which, upon comparison with theoretical evolutionary models, yields an upper limit for the star-to-star He abundance variation of less than about 0.1. The luminosity function obtained from the present data is in agreement with those of several earlier investigators.
