Observational evidence on the IR sources within the Ophiuchus dark cloud
is derived from image-tube photographs in the near infrared and from
photometry at 2 microns. Twenty-six of the 69 sources detected by
Grasdalen et al. (1973) and Vrba et al. (1975) are confirmed as stellar
objects. Spectral types and extinction values are given.
