The possibility is considered that relativistic particles may be generated by the interaction of nova ejecta with the ambient medium. The nature of this interaction is discussed for old nova shells, and possible acceleration mechanisms for the relativistic particles are noted, especially turbulence. Predictions regarding nonthermal radio emission from old novae are presented for V603 Aq1, DQ Her, CP Lac, GK Per, and RR Pic. It is concluded that the radio structure of nova remnants should be annular like those of various supernova remnants and that the radio fluxes should change appreciably on a time scale of years.
