Galactic Plane: X Rays
Scientific paper
The authors have performed a moderately deep, soft (0.1-2 keV) X-ray survey of the Galactic plane using the ROSAT Position Sensitive Proportional Counter (PSPC). The data consist of 9 fields, each of ≡10 ks exposure. A total of 93 sources were detected, and 90% of the survey area was covered down to a source count rate of 0.002 counts s-1.
