Cross Sections: Molecular Spectra

The authors demonstrate that the calculated cross-sections for the 7Li(p,α)4He reaction by the "shadow" model are in clear disagreement with the available experimental data in the very low energies range of astrophysical interest (12 < E < 50 keV). As a consequence, this model cannot be used to extrapolate the cross sections to energies where experimental data are lacking. The authors propose a simple method to extrapolate the cross-sections to stellar energies.
