Recent hypotheses and arguments for the existence of two different types of pulsars with different evolutions are reviewed. Data for 292 pulsars are used to show that there is no essential reason to collocate the population of pulsars into two groups with different evolutions. It is concluded that the population of pulsars is homogeneous, but the parameters of pulsars vary with their age.
