We discuss the motions stabilizing the course of nuclear reactions in the sun. In the absence of such motions, the energy release could be of an explosive character. We consider the thermal instability localized within the solar core. In the case of local energy production increase, the conditions for the instability excitation become more favorable. It is suggested that these phenomena could be the cause of the solar 5-min mode excitation.
