The results of isodensitometry of direct photographs of the
double-nuclei galaxies Markarian 739 and 789 and spectrophotometry of
their nuclei are presented. It is confirmed that the "a" nucleus of
Markarian 739 is a classical Sy 1 type object. Markarian 789 according
to its spectral characteristics reminds of liners.
