The simplest example illustrating the effect of magnetospheric charges on a pulsar magnetic field has the region within the light cylinder filled with the Goldreich-Julian charge density which corotates with the star. It is shown that two superficially different techniques for constructing the magnetic field are formally equivalent. The relative advantages of each representation are briefly discussed.
