In the course of a continuing search for small-amplitude variables among
the brighter stars, during 1982 - 86 photoelectric observations were
made of the red giant α Cas. The star is constant in the
time-scale of several years with σ = 0m.006. Monitoring
during ≡3 hours shows constancy with σ = 0m.003.
