The dependence of the characteristics of the equilibrium state of a system of bosons and fermions on the energy and baryon number of the system is studied. Some cosmological applications of this thermodynamical problem are discussed. In particular, in the Affleck-Dine baryogenesis mechanism the inclusion of large chemical potentials and the appearance of the boson condensate in the equilibrium system change the predicted values of the baryon asymmetry and the equilibrium plasma temperature.
