In a paper by Machado Ramos and Vickers new operators which are invariant under null rotations are introduced, this invariant formalism contains all information contained in the NP formalism. In a subsequent paper this was generalised to a notation which is invariant under null rotations and also spin and boost transformations thus having similar features to that of the GHP formalism. Recently Vickers and McCullum used this formalism in finding all conformally flat radiation metrics via a method suggested by Karlhede and Lindstrom. The aim of this project is to use a similar algorithm in obtaining all vacuum type N spacetimes.
