The authors study the equations describing standard accretion discs, with the effects of stream penetration included in a parametrized form. Fully analytic solutions can be obtained in several simplified cases. The ones that can relatively easily be analyzed, exhibit some of the properties expected from the competition between the action of the stream, which tends to shrink the disc into an annulus and the action of the viscous stresses which tends to broaden the disc.
