The coronal forbidden line Fe XIV 5303 A and Fe X 6374.5 A emission were unsuccessfully sought in 14 young stars of the Orion population. It is demonstrated for the case of several stars that the intensity of any 1,000,000 K corona is less than 10,000 times that of the sun, while such emission lines as C IV and Si IV, forming in regions with temperatures of 100,000 K, are enhanced by 10,000-1,000,000 times the solar values. Earlier suggestions to the effect that strong-line T Tauri stars have intensive coronal emission absorbed in extensive circumstellar gas are not supported in light of the present study.
