It is found that for large spots differential rotation effects are more markedly expressed in the solar Northern Hemisphere for uneven cycles (numbers 19, 21) than in the southern one. For an even cycle (number 20) the picture is vice versa. There is no doubt that there is a solid body rotation of large spots in even and uneven cycles of the solar activity alternatively in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres respectively. The asymmetry found in solid body rotation of large solar spots might be a help to solve the question of the solar activity mechanism and explain the essence of the solar differential rotation.
