A short-term variation of the H-alpha emission line in Eta Tauri is reported. These were found by examining eighteen spectra of the star, obtained on December 24 and 25, 1990 and January 4, 1991, using an optic-fiber-coupled grain spectrograph on the 2.16-m telescope of the Beijing Astronomical Observatory. The observations indicated that the H-alpha emission of Eta Tau underwent a rapid increase between December 24 and 25, 1990, followed by a slow decrease.
