The time synchronization system of electric power network is very important to power industry, and working out the technical standard for time synchronization of electric power network is very significant. The course of participating in working out "the Technical Specifications of Time Synchronization System for East-China Electric Power Network", which is used as an enterprise standard for East-China Branch of National Electric Power Company, is introduced. Some problems, which are faced with during the compiling of the specifications are discussed. It is pointed out that working out the standard is only the first step to establish the time synchronization system for the electric power network. To obtain higher efficiency for the devices such as the clocks of the power stations, the cooperation among various working parties is necessary and especially the "software" such as the management and training should be strengthened.
