A method is described for calculating the reflection and transmission
coefficients characterizing normal modes of the Goldreich-Lynden-Bell
gas sheet. Two families of gas disks without self-gravity for which the
normal modes can be found analytically are given and used to illustrate
the validity of the sheet approximation.
