Simultaneous observations of the near-Earth solar wind properties enable development of a solar wind model that will assimilate the observations with the 3D MHD solar wind model ENLIL in order to provide a more realistic description of solar wind/IMF properties at Earth. We present results from data assimilation runs performed on the simulation grid from L1 to Earth for the first time. We analyze the performance of the implemented method by performing perfect model experiments using simulated data that mimic actual solar wind observations.
