A post-processing technique is used with the spherical-harmonics method to develop an accurate result for the radiation intensity in a homogeneous plane-parallel medium that contains a source that varies with position. Anisotropic scattering is included in the monochromatic radiative transfer model, and general reflecting boundary conditions are considered.
