The authors develop further a new algorithm for calculating astronomical refraction in the Earth's spherically stratified atmosphere. The algorithm is based on results of measuring meteorological parameters at the observation site. A numerical experiment with 125 meteorological sounding profiles reveals that the refraction angles determined with the new method for the zenith angles z < 80° are 4 - 100 times more accurate by comparison with the Pulkovo refraction tables.
