A computer model of R.A. meridian observations and of their subsequent reduction was developed and used to evaluate methods for differential R.A. determination of IRS stars. Results are presented in terms of the dependence of the mean error of adjustment on the zone width for an instrument with large declination-dependent variation of the right ascension and an instrument with small declination-dependent variation. The instrumental parameter reduction was carried out for five existing catalogs (AGK3R, FKSZ, PZT, BS, and PCPS). The equation for implementing the adjustment of the program stars' right ascensions to the reference catalog is presented.
