Arp220 is a radio emitting galaxy merger, meaning it consists of two galaxies colliding. We worked with interferometric data from the Arecibo 305m dish in Puerto Rico and eight other European telescopes to search for OH-MASER satellite lines in absorption. Such OH satellite lines are important in determining the physical characteristics of the galaxy merger. Using interferometric techniques allows for high resolution observations, which allowed us to map in great detail the continuum of Arp220. We observed many strong super nova remnants which others had previously noted. The search for absorption and emission lines is still ongoing, for which we present some candidates.
