The coupling of a CCD camera to a telescope allows us to use a precise simple and straightforward method for measuring separation and position angle of binary stars. The data obtained is suitable for insertion in the U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO)- Washington Double Star Catalog. The data is gathered at the 31 inch National Undergraduate Research Observatory (NURO) Telescope at the Anderson Mesa location of Lowell Observatory, 20 miles east of Flagstaff, Arizona, at an altitude of 7200 feet. We used a 2K x 2K Loral CCD camera (NASACAM) with 27 micron pixels with a field of view of 16’ x 16’ and a plate scale of .515 arc seconds/ pixel.
