We study the spectroscopic and photometric properties of Lyman Alpha Emitter galaxies detected with the VIRUS-P spectrograph on the McDonald 2.7m telescope. VIRUS-P is an integral-field spectrograph composed of 247 fibers, each one 13.5 square arcseconds on sky. This blind redshift survey is a precursor to the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment. From the data reduced to date, we find dozens of LAEs and twice as many [OII] emitters to a flux limit of 5e-17 ergs/s/cm^2. We sample a uniquely large redshift range of 1.9
