Detection of heliospheric absorption in GHRS spectra of nearby Ly-alpha sources allows for strong constraints on heliospheric models. We use such data toward alpha-Cen to confront sophisticated models that include the possibility of a subsonic heliospheric inflow. Our preliminary conclusion is that the Ly-alpha data most sensitively constrain the inflow Mach number, and that a Mach number near 0.9 provides the best fit, although a detailed parameter study is now needed.
