A X6.1/3B flare, occurring on 27 October 1991 near the center of the solar disk, was observed simultaneously by the Urumgi Astronomical Station and the Solar Tower Telescope of Nanjing University with five wide-bandpass filters and a multichannel spectrograph respectively. The observations indicate that it is a white light flare. The observations and preliminary results are given.
