Distributions of radio brightness for the equatorial zone of the sun obtained at 1,4 and 4,1 mm wavelengths with angular resolutions in right ascension of 14 and 40 seconds of arc show a number of small-scale features in solar regions devoid of corresponding optical details. This phenomenon is likely to be caused by chromospheric inhomogeneities analogous to photospheric granulation.
