Monochromatic photographs in H alpha and forbidden N II 6584 A of the shell nebula NGC 3199 are presented. Interferometric H alpha radial velocities in this nebula show an expansion of 30 km/sec around the exciting Wolf-Rayet star. The observations are interpreted as indicating ejection of material from a central Wolf-Rayet star against the interstellar gas. This nebula is compared with NGC 6888, and NGC 2359, for which a similar interpretation has been made. The physical parameters of NGC 3199 and its exciting Wolf-Rayet star are deduced.
