We will use 30 orbits with NICMOS to study the rest-frame optical morphology of star-forming galaxies at redshift z~3 selected with the Lyman-limit technique. Our sample consists of 10 galaxies whose spectra have been measured with the Keck telescope and for which we have WFPC2 images from our previous HST program. Aim of the observations is to asses the morphological age of young galaxies during an epoch of intense star formation and to map the combination of age/extinction taking advantage of the pre-existing WFPC2 imagews, which probe the rest-frame far UV at ~1,500 Ang. This will provide crucial information on the star-formation history and later evolutionary phases of the Lyman-limit galaxies.
