Observations of the X-ray source Cyg X - 3 beginning in July 1989 are reported. The separation of flares initiated by protons from flares caused by gamma-quanta with energy greater than 10 exp 12 eV was conducted by the main component method. The light curve for a period of 4.8 hr is consistent with an earlier curve for a period derivative value of 2.4 x 10 exp -9 s/s.
