Approximately 10 yr of observational data related to planets in the solar system are examined with respect to their use as orientation elements for star observations. An estimate is given of the observational errors for the sun and planets as determined from the calculated values of the differences (O-C)alpha anddelta. It is shown that in both the random and systematic error categories the Belgrade observations of the solar system are as accurate as those of other observational campaign.
