In April 1979, H. Debehogne and J. F. Caldeira (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro = UFRJ) have observed Minor Planets at the ESO, La Silla.
The GPO (f = 400 cm, D = 40 cm) was used. Magnitude 17.5 can be reached. Measurements were performed at the Valongo Observatory (UFRJ) with the Ascorecord measuring machine (0, 1 pt) and positions calculated by means of five reference stars (two methods : dependences and least squares) on the IBM 370 computer at the Rio Datacentro PUC (Pontifical Universidade Catolica).
