Scientific paper
The significance of new telescopes for the sub-millimeter region for
understanding of star formation, active galaxies, and quasars is
examined. Observations of the solar system, Milky Way, galaxies, and
quasars using these instruments are shown and discussed. Future
applications of the telescopes are considered.
