The stars HD 175754, HD 1976, HD 212978, and HD 225094 were observed with International Ultraviolet Explorer at high despersion. A summary of earlier data is presented along with the UV observations. These are discussed in models in which it is assumed that the gas is a homogeneous slab that is either photoionized by UV radiation, or thermally ionized. Similarities among the high velocity components (HVC) in three of the stars and their densities indicate that they could be thin along the line of site.
