The carbon chamber of the Pamir emulsion-chamber experiment has detected two very high energy hadron families with unusually large lateral spread in both electromagnetic and hadronic components, which have been designated 'Halina' and 'C141G4836'. It is presently shown that the longitudinal and lateral characteristics of the experimental data cannot be fully explained by model calculations, even when the contributions of heavy nuclei in primary particles are taken into consideration, if no fundamental change is assumed in the elementary process.
